GOD AND

THE DJ

By Gerald McBride

When God Speaks, Dreams Become Destiny!

Gerald McBride never imagined his life would take him from spinning records in his brother’s nightclub to becoming the voice behind commercials for music legends like Prince, Luther Vandross, Earth, Wind & Fire, Janet Jackson, and countless other superstars. He certainly never dreamed he’d direct his own feature film, until God spoke and made the impossible inevitable.

In this powerful memoir, Gerald takes you behind the microphone and into the moments that shaped him. From growing up in Motown-era Detroit to becoming a voice heard across the nation, Gerald experienced career highs and devastating lows, failed relationships and restored faith. Through it all, he discovered that success isn’t measured by fame or fortune, but by obedience to the voice that matters most.

In GOD & THE DJ, you’ll discover:

- How divine appointments can redirect your entire path

- The power of faith-filled declarations to defy impossible diagnoses

- Why God’s mercy always offers another chance

- What happens when your dreams finally align with your calling

With raw honesty and infectious joy, Gerald shares the conversations with God that sustained him through financial struggles, divorce, and doubt. These conversations ultimately led him to create the faith-based film, The Rhythm, which continues to touch millions of lives.

“Don’t be afraid, just believe.” (Mark 5:36)
